Americans for Separating Adult Content are advocates of devising ways to keep prurient and pornographic materials away from children online.

We care about and value our rights to free expression but it is our view that a childs right to benefit from the Internet should supercede the rights of those who care not about what those kids are exposed to.

We believe that there are ways for us to protect our children online without infringing on free speech rights.

There are probably many ways that this problem can be solved that we haven’t thought about, but we have examined this issue for a long time and we believe that the best solution is to create a law that prevents adult site operators from giving away free adult content unless and until a site visitor gives them a credit card. Adult sites that publish and give out “free samples” are a large part of why kids can so easily access adult content.

We know that with P2P software and other download methods that this is not an easy problem to solve. We know that standards on “what is adult material?” differ. We also know that laws can and will be broken. But that does not mean that we shouldn’t attempt to do something as a society.Â
